Third plaque dedicated to Venda

An idea of unveiling a plaque dedicated to Col. in mem Vaclav Jicha DFC AFC also here was a Mr George Vicherek M.D.´s  brainchild. Venda had left this house Poland-bound in May 1939 fo fight for our freedom. Mr Vicherek, a member of the Dark Blue Group, came to this idea after an event of unveiling a plaque dedicated to Venda on his native house at the village of Dnesice. The members of the Group met at the town of Namest upon Oslava in Oct 2014 and designed the plaque. It was made by a local stone-mason in a week. A Pilot´s Badge and an engraved portrait of Venda in uniform proved to be most time consuming.

The plaque was donated by both the indiviaduals and associations. Their list is seen at :

As the members of the Dark Blue Group as Chairman and his Deputy of No 26 Branch of the Czech Airmen Association were among the attendees. Also a mayor of Venda´s native village as well as one of the authors of a ´Nobody will be Forgotten´ Book.
