Plaque dedicated to GHQ Col Vitezslav Rosik

 

This plaque was made by a stone mason Mr Bronislav Studenik from the near town of Slavicin. The cost was covered by the Zlin Region, Mr Slamecka and Mr Navratil. It was unveiled by a respectable Cz Air Force´s military pilot Lt Col Ing. Joseph Macek and a flying instructor Lt Col Ret Ing Miroslav Navratil - L to R in the picture below.

The event had been patroned by the Zlin Region´s Head Mr Stanislav Misak. The Salute of Honour was fired by members of No 19 Border Reg Military History Club lead by Mr Karel Navoj. The flypast of a sports plane piloted by Mr Peter Pindak a resident to the village of Popov also paid a tribute to GHQ Col Rosik.
