We set up an Youth Tourist Club Liscata /´The Fox Cubs´/ at the town of Velke Hamry recently. As its name drops a hint, the local children, who prefer outdoor activities, come to us. We would like to inspire them not only to loving the Nature, but also to our Motherland, its history as well as the one of our town. Also F/O Josef Mohr, who was born here, undoubtly belongs to Velke Hamry. Though the house where he had lived was pulled down, the soil from his grave located in the Netherlands is in the local cemetery. This year the Youth Council appealed to 72 hrs Voluntary Work, give it a hand. Our club nodded and made a decision to clean a F/O Josef Mohr´s grave. To our astonishment the Fox Cubs made their own decision to take care of this object from that day on. Having been given a consent by the navigator´s family we shoulder this duty, hoping that this tradition will be perpetuated, as well as the deeds of F/O Josef Mohr.
