      at Chartres as an instructor. NOTE : He died on stomach cancer in Paris hospital on April
      27, 1940 and was laid to rest at Neuily. In April 2004 on the occasion of his birth
      centenary was his coffin airlifted by a Czech Air Force transport plane to Czech Republic
      and laid in its final resting place at our heroe`s birth place Sokolec near Nymburk Central

NOTE : Rinoppe downed four Stukas in several minutes near Sedan on May 12, but only
two were officially put on his scoresheet, because two of them fell behind German lines.
Shortly after this triumph Rinope himself was downed by a Messeschmitt 109 fighter and
lightly wounded had to belly land.
