Ready to take power
Seventy years ago S/L Joe Bryks MBE and other officers - former RAF men - were taken away outside their garrison of Olomouc.
They were driven by their bus as fas as the vicinity of Velke Mezirici. These ´Westeners´ were hindered from doing anything possible in mass against taking power by the Communists like this. On the same day a General strike was in progress masterminded by the latter.

Already in 1947 Joe was barred from flying to London. He should have been awarded his MBE there. A mere year after VE-Day the Military Defence Intelligence commanded by a Communist Bedrich Reicin launched forming database of all the men in arms of non-Communist views. Each non Communist officer both in the Forces and the Police was work shadowed.
Mere twelve days following this Communist coup of Feb 25, 1948 were purges in full swing. Not only in the Czechoslovak Air Force. As well as trump-up charges, incarcerations, torture, murders.
