Alois Dvorak [Uloys Dvorzhahk] as a pupil of the second grade of the Prerov Junior high School in the 1929/1930 schoolyear. Aged two, his mother had died. Alois was cared by the Plumlov Convent nuns for several years. His two brothers were looked after by a relative from a village nearby. His father Tony Dvorak married to a widow from the village of Vrahovice in 20s and moved to her house. A son Joseph was born to them in 1927. After graduating at the Apprentice School Alois became a Sales Manager.

   
 

A shot of a fresh conscript Alois Dvorak was taken on November 3, 1935. He had enlisted the Prostejov Elementary Flying Training School on October 1, 1935. First he had to undergo six week infantery practice.

 

   

Alois Dvorak as a pilot pupil of the second grade of the EFTS Prostejov. He graduated on March 30, 1937 swearing oath to the Czechoslovak Republic. His classmate was Zdenek Skarvada [Zdaennyaek Shkarvada] who flew with on the Alois`s last sortie - a ferry from Montrose to Dyce on September 23, 1941.
