9th branch Airmen Association of the Czech Republic

About Airmen Association of CZ

The domain of www.svazletcu.cz ie Czech Airmen Association / Cz AA/ was in 2007 pre-paid by the Plumlov No 9 CzAA Group. This domain mentioned above had been unvailable for several years even for the Cz AA Headquarters, being blocked for speculation purposes by an unknown person. That reason for the CzAA HQ had to use the name www.csletci.cz for its web pages. Preventing mistaking these two domains each for other, we do inform all the readers at the very beginning.
Our No 9 Group came into existence in the winter of 2003- 2004 initiated by two former members of the Prostejov Cz AA Group`s members. One of us is a former Czechoslovak Air Force pilot, chosen as a test pilot by the jet plane designer František Vlček [Fruntyishaeck Vlchek] into his team.
This pilot had dug in becoming the Communist Party member and had been discriminated for  several decades that reason for and in 1983 was fired for his rejecting to go to Lybia and train Kaddafi`s pilot pupils there.
Questions of technical nature will be replied by him, the issues concerning History of the Czechoslovak Air Force by me.

Our activity

We take care of our existence of  709 photos on 51 panels of the "Wings of Victory " Exhibition lent by the Czech Airmen Assocaition`s HQ to the Plumlov Castle from the beginning of our existence. The snaps coming lose due to a high humidity rate are being glued by us again and again. All four exhibitions were moved from the groundfloor upstairs, exposed to lower humidity here.
Because the above mentioned exhibition covers only the 1939 – 1945 time frame of the Czechoslovak AF`s history, we had made decision to fill these gaps. 12 new panels were bought by us two years ago and 139 photographies of A4 format protected from  being damaged with sheats were put on them. Not only the snaps from the 1918 – 1939 and 1945 – 1992 periods are seen here. Nos I and II panels are dedicated to our patron Sgt. Alois Dvorak, who lost life on Sept 24, 1941 as a member of the Czechoslovak No 310 Fighter Sqn.

Notice board It is situated at the Plumlov bus stop. Not only the articles recalling the life of the RAF veterans born on the territory of the Prostejov region are seen here.
The last time texts and snaps of "Aerobabes" were seen here.

Lectures

Are held by me or my colleague as at basic schools as secondary ones because  schookids are not aware of the Czech history at the extent this field deserves. But not only kids are to blame.
But there are also signs of hope among them. Jaroslav Braun Jr. reacted to our lecture at his J. Wolker Grammar School intending to write a thesis on the topic mentioned above. Being supervised by a secretary of our Cz AA Plumlov group who had sparkled  erecting the Airmen Monument at the Prosteyov Cemetery late 90s, this student completed his
work of facts early 20004.One of the copies was presented by him to Brig. Gen. Frank Elston on June 3, 2004 in the town of Brno during his visit to Moravia. The No 2 copy was given to the Prostejov Municipality Vice-Mayor Mirroslav Pishtyahk who promissed to pass it to the Prostejov Cemetery Administration.
One of the lectures was held at the basic school of the village Czellaekhovitse at the its
headmistre`ss request. The navigator of the Czechoslovak No 311 Bomber Sqn Villlehm
Konshtatskee had been born there on Nov 11, 1914. He was killed in action on June 23, 1941 over Holland with four more crewmen of the KX-T Wellington.
My problem is, only a few schools are wheelchair accessible and that reason for I can not get into very often.
