Memorial to four in fifty

The families of all the four murdered airmen were among the attendees. From Australia a niece of S/L John Williams DFC Mrs Louise Williams accompanied by her parents, brother  Richard and men from the Australian ABC TV. Also his another niece Margareth Phillips, her husband Bob and the President of No 450 Sqn´s  RAAF  Association Mr Michael Thompson came.

A nephew of F/Lt Reginald Kierath and a niece of F/Lt Leslie Bull DFC Mrs Leslie Paus with her son Warren Davis a paperman and the Air Force Advisor of the London Australian High Commission G/C Peter Wood  arrived from UK. F/O Jerzy Mondschein´s daughter, a grand-daughter and a grand-son from  Poland. A wife of the Czechoslovak No 311 Bomber Sqn´s pilot Alois Siska, a former Prime Minister Jan Fischer, his wife and a Polish Military Attaché Col. Tomasz Podlasin came from Prague. A nephew of No 311 Sqn´s W/O Arnost Valenta arrived from the village of Svebohov nr Zabreh in Moravia. He was the only Czechoslovak victim in fifty murdered. Mr Holy made a request for a flypast of two Aero L- 159 Alca jet trainers during the Ceremony. It was approved by the Minister of Defence and Mr Holy detailed the event with the Caslav air base later.
