We invite you for the event held at the Airmen Memorial, Prostejov Cemetery on Sep 28 at 11 am.
Thanks to the money bequeathed by No 311 Sqn´s navigator Col William Kauders MC, No 9 Plumlov Branch of the Cz Airmen Association could initiate refurbishment of the Memorial this summer. Two urns containing the ashes of Lt Col VaclavHanka and Col Frantisek Vocetka were interred in the vault to the 98 ones with soil of the graves having been there since June 1998.
Ninety six of them were identified and the soil of the graves of sixty four airmen named by Gen Alois Siska is in the two others. A hundred and fifty six names of the Czechoslovak airmen who lost their lives in WWII will be seen in the vault´s cover.
