On the 74th anniversary of the Feb 25 Communist Coup in Czechoslovakia an remarkable article based on an eyewitness account of these events - a former Cz member of the RAF - was posted on the www.fcafa.wordpress.com website six days ago.

Karel Antonin Machacek /1916 – 2005/ [Karrel Antonnyeen Makhahchek] M.D. served with Cz No 311 Bomber Squadron as an Medical Officer whose  authobiography „ Escape to England“ was published by The Book Guild Ltd in 1998.

Another source of an extraordinary value describing the political events prior to Feb 25, 1948 and shortly afterwards,  experienced  by a Cz No 311 Sqn´s member is a book „Freedom in the Air – A Czech Flier and His Aircrew Dog“ „ by Mr Hamish Ross.
