Three anniversaries

On Lt Col Bohumil Rysanek who was firm friend of W/Cdr Joseph Ocelka.

Yesterday the article was posted describing the first part of No 311 Sqn`s navigator Bohumil Rysanek`s whereabouts on the anniversary of his birthday - his campaigns in Poland, the Foreign Legion, France as well as in England serving with Cz. No Infantery Batallion and his day of the utmost happiness at East Wreatham on Apr 6 1942. His story goes through Bohumil`s navigator training in Canada and getting his Observer Wings.

On Aug 2 we remember the third anniversary of this Ex-Serviceman`s death and on this date another article will be posted. His life story of undergoing the No 1 Ground Reconaissance School, his instructing fighter pilots at Mountain View and training in the No 111 OTU in the Bahamas will be mentioned there. Rysanek flew B 25 and B 24 with Frank Janousek and Lib also with his captain to be Vladimir Slansky there. His war time does not end on May 9 in Prague for him, because also this crew had to comb the Atlantic for the capitulating U boats till June 1, 1945. His one trip in July and five more in August from Manston to Prague and back as well as his demob, granting the UK Citizenship, his peace time life till spreading his and his wife Alma`s ashes into the river in the Ogmore Vale were put on paper here.
