2018-09-28

Eighty years ago an Avia B 35 high performance monoplane prototype for the Czechoslovak Air Force made its maiden flight.

The CzAF had been put at war readiness to defend its Motherland six days ago. In 1938 for the second time. In vain. On September 30, 1938 the Munich Pact, disgraceful for Czechoslovakia, was signed by Hitler, Chamberlain, Daladier and Mussolini.

Two images of the Avia B 35 protopype incl captions can be seen HERE – both the seventh and eighth ones from the top on No 6 Panel.
