Not only three pilots
A Memorial dedicated not only to three pilots – residents to the local Holice Borough of Olomouc – will be unveiled in the Freedom Village Green in two weeks.
The families of the below mentioned men in arms the village as well as military history enthuasiasts are invited to a ceremony. It is to be held on August 31 at 1000 hrs on the pavement linking both the sides of the Green East to a local Elementary School. That one is situated between two roads along the Freedom Village Green.
Names of the ones whose names will be seen on a plaque in alphabetical order :
- Ales Dosoudil a trooper former member of the Czechoslovak Inf Bat in the Middle East
- Vladmir Horsky a fighter pilot of the French I/6 Group de Chasse and the RAF´s No 238 Sqn
- Jan Jasicek an artillery man of the 1st Czechoslovak Independent Armoured Brigade - UK
- Jakub Koutny an officer of the 1st Czechoslovak Army Corps – the USSR
- Vítezslav Leparik the Glucinium Secret Agent Group´s CO
- Bohumil Netopil a fighter pilot of the RAF´s No 19.Sqn
- Zbynek Ocenasek a WOP of the 1st Czechoslovak Independent Armoured Brigade - UK
- Ladislav Valousek a fighter pilot of the RAF´s No 310 Sqn and No 1 ´Zvolensky´ Fighter Reg
- the Slovakian National Uprising
