One of Czech Aviation Pioneers Mr Eugen Cihak [Czihhahk] passed away eighty years ago.

He authored the biography´How I was flying and falling´. He was a cousin of another Czech Aviation Pioneer Mr Ing. Jan Kaspar [ John Kashpar]. Cihak manufactured sixteen aeroplanes. In the 1911 – 1914 time frame he made thirty three flights. Not a year before his death Eugen Cihak could see the highest peak of the Giant Mts - one of Snezka while flown by a double seat glider. That one belonged to the Flying Club of the town of Vrchlabi in the Northern Bohemia.
