Memorial plaque in pipeline
Will be unveiled in the park of the village of Topolany nr Olomouc at 2.30 p.m. on Apr 6.
It will be dedicated to four locals. One of them met his death during WWII. Cyril Sklenar served with No 310 Fighter Sqn as a n armourer. A WOP trainee of No 311 Bomber Sqn Jan Marsalek perished on July 14, 1941. The N2060 Fairey Battle trainer belonging to No 4 AGS West Freugh crashed on the shore. Frantisek Muzikant served with Cz Armoured Brigade. Alois Klevar failed to escape from France by a ship late June 1940. Keeping low profile till liberation of France he joined a local Anti-Nazi group of Resistence.
In the vicinity of a huge stone with the plaque there will be placed an info board. As pictures as further data on these four men can bee seen there.
