Three forgotten heroes

Three Czechs were arrested by the Gestapo German Secret Police in Yugoslavia seventy five years ago. They assisted in travelling of Cz volunteers towards Cz Foreign Troops via this country.

        The figures as follow also were emailed by him. In Sep 1939 sixteen Cz volunteers in two groups organized combatant-style departed from Beograd heading to the Cz Foreign Army. In Oct ninety nine men in ten groups and in November fifty volunteers in four ones. In Dec a number of these men reached a hundred and fifty. A month later it was even three hundred and sixty four. In Feb 1940 two hundred and six  Cz men left the capital of Yugoslavia. The number of the volunteers per group was rising. In March three hundred and seventy seven men in nine groups, in April four hundred in ten ones. In May three hundred and three Cz volunteers grouped in nine batches left Beograd. In June ninety three men in five ones. The last group departed from the capital of the Yugoslavian Kingdom on June 24, 1940.
