Anniversary of accordion player
Kitchen Chief of Cz 311 Bomber Sqn Mr Florian Jahoda was born a hundred and ten years ago.
The songs played by his accordeon purchased in France in the autumn of 1939 were of the same importance for moral of Cz personnel as Cz national cuisine. Thanks to cooperation of his family we were provided not only data but also very rare images and their captions such as :´ Welcomed by the Bata Co´s employees Alexandria Egypt the Romania freighter´. The one on rear of the picture taken on board of the Karanan vessel reads : ´Bombed by the Huns ´The Czech Song of Ours´sounds. Sailing nobody knows our destination. June 1940´. So the first essay on a cook serving with Cz RAF Sqn can be seen by you.
