Third plaque in memory of Venda

Today at two p.m. No three plaque dedicated to Col. Vaclav JichaDFC AFC will be unveiled.

The first of them is located within the Prague Bohnice Borough too. It is seen at 20 Na Bendovce St nearby on a wall of an Elementary School. It had been allocated Bohnice No 186 by the Prague Land Register in 1920. In September of the same year little Vaclav called Venda launched his five grade school attendance there. The plaque was erected and unveiled by members of No 26 Czech Airmen Association´s Branch on May 24, 1995. It is seen at www.svazletcu-praha.cz website. The Branch is named after this famous aerobat.

No two plaque was unveiled at Venda´s No 105 native house at the the village of Dnesice S Pilsen on Sep 30, 2007. It is seen at the www.dnesice.cz website.

The name of the Czechoslovak Air Force´s Staff Cpt Vaclav Jicha /Vahtslav Yeekha/DFC AFC is also seen at the Jíchas´ gravestone in the near Bohnice Local Cemetery. His parents were laid to rest there. But Vaclav Jicha Jr had been burried in the Haddington Roman-Catholic Graveyard, Scotland. The date of his death on the gravestone of the Jichas is incorrect.

The „Plk in mem Václav Jícha DFC AFC“ one has been available at the www.svazletcu.cz  since Feb 10, 2014  HERE A front over of the ´Nobody will be forgotten´ Book by Petr Satra and Karel Smola is seen.

The ´Vaclav Jicha – one of the Few´ text was posted at the www.fcafa.wordpress.com website on the same day. Since Feb 1,2015 has been seen another one there - ´The Search for Vaclav Jicha´s Anson´. The latter one reminded us of the 70th anniversary of his crash.
